Isabelle, jewelry artist from California and exhibiting at the Bellevue Art Museum Art Show has her little piece of FeelGoodFreeArt.

Where will you find your FREE art?

This one is called "Carolina Snowflake" by Sherry Mayforth. Sherry is one of the new participating artists this week from Ebb Tide Gallery, on Pioneer. However, this beautiful piece from Sherry and Joyful Basketry can be found at Wild Birds. If you miss it there, go directly to the Edd Tide Gallery on Pioneer to see more of Sherry's beautiful pieces.

You might find your FREE art at Tides Tavern. Several of Mark Ritchey photo cards are on Tavern tables and IF you act quickly enough, one may be for you!!!
If you are a little slow on getting to the photo cards at Tides, just go on up to the Ebb Tide Gallery on Pioneer to find more of Mark's wonderful photos.

By the way.....Gig Harbor History Museum is having a Grand Opening on September 18 for EVERYONE and it is FREE. Another new participating artist with the blog this week is Sandra "Sam" Chavis. "Sam" is another one of those Ebb Tide artist. She creates beautiful wire wrapped jewelry, with the help of Mother Nature. This particular piece is found glass from the ocean and wrapped in Sterling Silver. Find this "gem", if you are quick at the Harbor Mercantile on Pioneer Way. If this piece is already gone, just stop in next door at the Ebb Tide Gallery and see more of "Sam's" work.

I meet Xochi the weekend of the Art Festival in downtown Gig Harbor. Xochi was the featured demonstration artist for the Birdnest Art Gallery. I found her to be a very playful, wonderful spirit on this earth. "My paintings are the mirror of how I see and feel nature. Painting allows me to live my life out loud!"

Xochi uses recycled kitchen cabinet doors as her canvas in some of her paintings.

You will enjoy trees and wondering paths and the beautiful colors of nature when you visit with Xochi's paintings.

Donna Carver will be participating in the Peninsula Art Leagues's 26th Annual Gig Harbor Art Festival on July17 and 18th. In addition her paintings will also be in the Peninsula Art League's Annual Summer Juried Show hosted by Key Bank.
And her solo show continues to run at UPTOWN Cutter's Point thru July 31st.

Cinema Gig Free Movies in Gig Harbor

Did everyone just really enjoy the National Guard Army Band last Tuesday in Skansie Park!!!! ALWAYS GOOD!!!!!

Tuesday, July 13 be at Skansie Park for the Blackberry Bushes Band...a little bit of bluegrass. Foot stomping, clapping, really good time...got to be there. My advice..chairs early or bring a little dinner about 5, music starts at 6:30.
TONIGHT, Thursday July 8 begins the UPTOWN concerts with the Joey Jimmy Dean Band. The blog will be there enjoying, maybe placing a little free art...where will you be? AND
