Joni loves hawaii

Aloha!
Yes, meet Joni.  She and her hubby moved to the big island of Hawaii in April of 2010, from Vale, Co.
Met Joni on a whale excursion.  She is wonderful and perky and just fun and pleasant.  She will provide a good home for some FREE art.
Now...to the whale excursion.  The most civilized way to view whales in their Hawiian habitate is by a most civilzed catamaran. Do not pass go and for heavens sake, do not take a Zodiac!!!!  Can't emphasize that enough.  The catamaran. Comes in close to shore, lowers the stairs and yes, even a gang plank to the stairs.  No struggeling, no straining.  You are greated by smiling Mai Ti's.      Once seated in a normal position, notice you are not required to hang on for your life, happy people handing out cocktails.
Then the adventure begins.  Cruising along looking for those blowing spouts then heading off in that direction.  Then tails slapping in the blue hawaiian waters, then whales chasing whales....the female whale leads the parade and the strongest of the males following, could be the winner.  (Ah, for the old college days)
A little sun, another Mai Ti and pretty soon the whales are vertically standing in the water with their heads up and checking us out.  What could these whales be thinking?
A National Geographic afternoon!  Appreciation for my whale friends at an all time high.
The perfect end to a perfect whale watching experience is with a perfect martini, perfect pu pu and a poke.  Chris says to remember that a poke is pu pu.
Aloha!

We also meet and traded with another wood artist on Kaui....his photo is on my camera and will show up later.  Anyway, this Hawaiian artist was the first to give us his work....just in kindness.  Then we had a Gig Harbor made wood puzzle that FGFA gave to him.
Itsn't it just wonderful the folks we meet and that given a moment of time, everyone loves to share a bit of their life.  Everyone is uniqueL just like you and you...and you.

Meet jackie

So, Jackie and 7 of best friends have come to Hawaii!  They started out on Maui and decided to come to Honolulu to see the sites.  Feel Good FREE Art Project met up with their group at the Polynesian Cultural Center.  We all experienced a terrific luau, and naturally GigHarbor came up in our conversation.  Jackie is also planning on a trip to Europe, so her piece of FREE art may travel even further.
As for Jackie and her friends, here's hoping they make a trip to visit wonderful GH.
